Jellystone Park at Kozy Rest has won an all around “A” rating from GuestRated.com as well as top awards from the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds and the Jellystone Park Camp-Resort chain

HARRISVILLE, Penn., Dec. 9, 2011 – When Denny Quigley bought the 164-site Kozy Rest Kampground 11 years ago, it was a run down park with very little seasonal or overnight business.
It’s a different story today.
As one of the newest additions to the Jellystone Park Camp-Resort chain of resorts, Kozy Rest is a popular camping destination with fun family activities, weekend entertainment as well as cabin and yurt rentals. It’s also one of the highest rated campgrounds in the country.
In the past four weeks, in fact, the Harrisville-based campground has received:
• The “Park of the Year” Award from the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, the most prestigious award available in the private campground industry.
• An “A” rating from GuestRated.com, a Murrieta, Calif.-based company that tracks online consumer ratings of campgrounds across the country. This is the forth year in a row that Kozy Rest has received an all around “A” rating from GuestRated.com.
• Four awards from Milford, Ohio-based Leisure Systems Inc., the company that franchises Jellystone Parks across the country. Kozy Rest received Leisure Systems’ highest award, the Pinnacle Award for Outstanding Achievement and Excellence, as well as awards for Rookie of the Year, Recreational Programming and Outstanding Customer Service.

Quigley said he and his family have come a long way since they acquired
the campground just over a decade ago.
“I remember attending my first campground industry conference in 2000 and seeing campgrounds receive the ‘Park of the Year’ award and thinking that would be great to get, but I have so, so much work to do. Where do I start?”
Quigley and his son, Gary, found the path to success by attending the School of RV Park and Campground Management in Ogelbay, W.V. and soliciting ideas from faculty members on ways they could improve their park’s facilities, amenities and service.
The Quigleys started by improving the campground’s landscaping and adding a campground store, complete with propane and ice. They later added rental cabins and a mini-golf course.
Even after joining the Jellystone Park chain in January, the Quigleys continued to add more features to their park, including an inflatable bouncer, a mining sluice and a dog park.
The good news for the Quigleys, of course, is that these improvements are not only translating into national recognition for their campground, but increased business as the park attracts growing numbers of families from Pennsylvania and across the Northeast.
“It feels so good,” Denny Quigley said. “All of the education on customer service and business planning that Gary and I received is paying off.”
Jellystone Park at Kozy Rest is one of only 32 campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across the country to earn an all around "A" grade in the third annual GuestReviews satisfaction survey of independent parks.

This was the third time that the 170-site park, located at 449 Campground Road in Harrisville, Pa. (Butler County) received an "A" grade in overall guest satisfaction. The top-rated parks were announced at the Rio All Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas during a Dec. 3rd awards ceremony hosted by the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds.

More than 30,000 camping and RV enthusiasts completed reviews in the GuestRated.com online survey, grading their experiences at 2,400 independent RV parks and campgrounds. "Only thirteen parks have now received 'A' ratings three years in a row," said Bob MacKinnon, president and founder of GuestRated.com.

Denny Quigley purchased Kozy Rest Kampground in 2000 after working many years in the automotive industry. It is operated by Quigley and his wife Kathy, son Gary and daughter Tami. Their focus is in providing a truly memorable camping experience for the entire family. Over the years they have added many themed weekends that families can enjoy together, like Water Fun Weekend where everyone participates in water gun battles. The Quigley's believe in giving back by raising money and awareness for the Make-A-Wish and Susan G. Koman Foundations.

"We really enjoy seeing great memories being made, as we hear the kids laughing, playing and having lots of fun," Quigley said. "Receiving this award three years running means a lot. It tells us that our customers feel welcome, they appreciate the hard, dedicated work we put into keeping it clean and neat, and that they enjoyed themselves so much that they want to come back."

MacKinnon suggests that campers visit the "Best Rated Parks" page at www.guestrated.com to see where each of the award-winning parks is located and view their individual web pages. Camping enthusiasts are also encouraged to submit their own reviews of the campgrounds and RV resorts they have recently visited by going to www.guestrated.com and clicking on the "Rate a Park" tab. Each park receiving reviews displays a GuestRated Report Card showing the current year's ratings based upon online feedback from their campers.

Submit Your Comments Was a wonderful place and other camp sites I have been to can’t even compare! The cleanliness of the entire park was magnificent from the bathrooms to the well-kept landscaping. You never saw trash or leaves laying anywhere, or ever had to worry about walking into a dirty restroom, the place was beautiful! The staff served us above and beyond any of my expectations! Every staff member was friendly and always willing to help and accommodate any of your needs. They were constantly walking around the park making sure everyone was having a good time, so the help was never hard to find. Activities were always going on to participate in and campers were always getting involved. The cabin we stayed in was amazing, very well kept and we had a wonderful stay. Overall, words can’t express what a great place this truly is and our stay was VERY enjoyable!
We just got back from a great weekend of camping at Kozy Rest. This was our first time here and the first time some of us have ever been camping (some of whom were skeptical about going). Our only regret is that we waited so long to go. We stayed at one of the beautiful 2 bedroom cabins and can't say enough about it. If you're not looking to rough it, this is the way to go. The cabins have everything you need to be comfortable yet still make you feel like you're relaxing in the woods, sitting around the fire with good friends. The rates are very reasonable for everything Kozy Rest has to offer. The staff and owners are genuinely great people who go above and beyond to make your stay at Kozy Rest enjoyable. If you've never gone camping before and are considering a relaxing, affordable weekend, I highly suggest coming to Kozy Rest. Thank you for giving us a memorable weekend, we look forward to making this an annual trip at the minimum! Everyone that worked here treated us like gold. We were so impressed with the grounds and how great things looked. It is clear that all of you go above and beyond to make sure we enjoy ourselves and it was very much appreciated. Keep up the great work!
Kozy Rest was great!! My kids are already asking when we can return. It was probably the cleanest campground I have ever been too. The bath house down below was awesome!! (I didn't go into the others but I'm sure they were nice too)The other campers were friendly and my kids met a lot of new friends. The activities were very fun for everyone. We will be returning very soon! THANK YOU KOZY REST!
This campground is simply the best. The owners work very hard to keep their campground clean, friendly, welcoming and lot of activities. We have been to this campground several times every year. Each year we are amazed at how great a place this is to camp. If you have not camped here yet, please make a reservation and come and enjoy yourself. Lots of activities for kids. Yogi bear is always there. Every weekend there is something special going on. Thanks for a great camping experience.
What a wonderful campground. My family plans on camping a lot there this summer. Everything was clean, the owners and staff are exceptionally friendly. Everyone was very helpful. Bathrooms were kept VERY clean. A lot of things for the kids to do and adults. The other campers were friendly from the seasonal campers on down. My girls made a lot of friends the first day we were there.
Nicely located in a wooded area. The entire campground is clean from the buildings to the campground. The bathrooms are spotless and well located. The staff was friendly. My wife and I will return there.
I am amazed at the service we received! A+ all the way!
We absolutely love this campground. Kathy and Dennis go out of their way to make it perfect.
All the staff members were well in hand and took care of our every need. Very nice. Had such a good time to just get away for the weekend, I'll be making another trip out there next year.
We had a wonderful stay. From the friendly greeter at the entrance, Bob, to our golf cart escort to our very level site, to delivered wood. We enjoyed ceramics, mini golf, bingo and even a great church service on Sunday. Amish baked goods were awesome and the food trailer was a nice surprise, giving us a break from cooking. The grounds and bathrooms are spotless! We will be back many times this year!
The service at this park is great. You are greeted upon entering and everyone is always friendly. We could not ask for a better place for a family get-a-way. Our children love going to Kozy Rest since there is always something to do no matter the season. We kick off the camping season at Kozy Rest and end our last camping weekend there too.
Everything was exceptional! Keep up the great work!!! We always have a good time at Kozy Rest. This weekend was the Halloween weekend with a haunted pavilion. What a great time!! We always look forward to going thru and seeing what's new.
Kozy Rest is the cleanest and friendliest camp ground that we have been at. We try to make reservations at Kozy Rest every Father’s Day as long as our schedule allows and Halloween weekend also. It is so relaxing and friendly there. Denny and Kathy and staff are the greatest. We have told so many campers that we have run into to go to Kozy Rest. They get AAAAAAAAAAA in our book.
We had a very enjoyable stay at Kozy Rest, the owner and his family is very dedicated to the business and work very hard to keep the camp ground safe and clean. The restrooms and showers are spotless and plenty of hot water. My 3 children loved all of the activities that were provided. The camp ground had level and spacious spots. Thank you for our stay and we will see you next year.
I think it is a wonderful campground. I enjoy taking my grandchildren there. We plan on returning many times this summer.
The people running this campground are very nice and helpful.
Our favorite campground in our hometown area! Ease of arrival, friendliness of owners/staff, opportunity for social activities and shaded areas are great. Very clean and well designed.
This was our 1st time at Kozy Rest Kampground. We enjoyed our stay and Plan on Staying here a lot this coming Summer.
